In response to COVID-19, the Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Fund (SIE Fund) is welcome to receive innovative campaigns about assisting in anti-epidemic or benefiting Hong Kong citizens being affected by the pandemic.
The service targets of this scheme is 500 single elderly households with higher safety risks, who have been serviced from previous Longevity Group schemes supported by the SIE Fund (including Central and Western district/Kwai Tsing district/Tseung Kwan O district/Sham Shui Po district/East district/Islands district/Yuen Long district/Tuen Mun district)
Longevity Group made appointments with plumbers for
door-to-door checking and repairing u-traps and ventilation pipes. Also, the areas that elders frequently contacted were provided medical grade photocatalysis spraying service. Medical grade photocatalysis is a mixed technique for sterilisation, disinfection, mildewproof, decomposition of toxic compounds (for example, formaldehyde and organic volatile organic compounds (VOC)), deodorant and cleaning.
Clients could choose to paint and spray on furniture and walls by themselves. It was expected to be in effect for one to three years.
